In particular, he met with an official representative of the NEVA international exhibition in Spain, Teodoro Da Silva, with whom an agreement was signed in August of 2020. He emphasized that the shipbuilding companies of Spain are deeply interested in the Russian exhibition and see it as an opportunity of personal communication with eventual buyers and partners from Russia and CIS states.

Besides, the meeting with Navantia, the major shipbuilding company of Spain, was held. The company is involved both in military and commercial shipbuilding and ranks fifth in Europe and ninth worldwide. The management of Navantia confirmed their intentions to exhibit at NEVA with a comprehensive stand. The parties discussed the company’s strategic targets at the Russian market and an option to outline the topical business program for Navantia at the exhibition and in St. Petersburg on the whole.

In January of 2021, ICEX, the Export Agency of Spain, confirmed the participation of exhibitors from Spain in NEVA 2021 in the form of a national hall. During his visit in Madrid, the Director General of NEVA-International called on the central office of the agency and made an agreement about long-term partnership with ICEX.

Also Aleksander Ulyanov conducted negotiations with an organizer of the Navalia exhibition. It is the largest shipbuilding exhibition in Southern Europe, which is held in Vigo in the north of Spain. The partner agreement with the Navalia organizing committee was signed in November of 2020. At the NEVA exhibition, not only a Navalia’s hall will be exhibiting, but also a separate hall exhibiting the shipbuilding companies of Galicia. The colleagues discussed the business program of the Spanish party’s visit to St. Petersburg, and also touched upon the issues of composing the Russian delegation to the Navalia exhibition, which will be headed by NEVA-International.

During negotiations with the shipbuilding cluster of the Bilbao region, special consideration was given to the anti-COVID measures taken at the NEVA site, as well as to the possibility of obtaining business visas to Russia. Aleksander Ulyanov answered all the questions and invited the region’s companies to participation at the exhibition.

At the meeting with the Russia’s trade mission in Spain, the parties made an agreement about the information cooperation. The trade mission’s intention is to widely inform the Spanish market about the NEVA 2021 exhibition via its own resources and actively involve the business community of Spain in the major industry-related event in Eastern Europe.
