On January 25, 2021, an online conference "Opportunities for cooperation between Russia and Spain in small-craft shipbuilding and yachting " was held. The event was organized by the Russian Boatbuilders Center and the Spanish Marine Trade Association (ANEN) with the support of the St. Petersburg Sailing Union.
The General Secretary of ANEN Carlos Sanlorenso and the President of the Sailing Union
of St. Petersburg Sergey Alekseev made a welcoming speech. The business program included thematic blocks: Russian and Spanish markets overview; sailing sport, yachting schools, yacht charter, marinas, production and Sales.
The head of the Boatbuilding Center Anastasia Kobzeva informed the conference participants about the small shipbuilding and yachting industry in Russia, and the analysis of the Spanish market, which unites about 4,000 companies, was presented by the international director of ANEN, Jose Luis Fayos. Anton Cherkasov, editor-in-chief of MOTORBOAT & YACHTING magazine, reviewed Spanish yachting through the eyes of Russian tourists.
Special attention was paid to the presentation of modern products of the Alekseev Central Design Bureau for Hydrofoil JSCs - first of all, hydrofoils such as Valdai 45R, Meteor 120 and Comet 120.
The director of Club of Sailing Fedor Druzhinin, director of Searadar Maxim Terbov and other experts shared their vision of the prospects for cooperation between Spanish and Russian maritime and charter companies.
Director of Jonacor Marine Olga Rehben, director of Club Nàutic Sant Feliu de Guíxols Maribel Vela, director of Astondoa Yachts Jamie Cortesero, director of Astra Yachting Services Massimo Chiodo and others heads of Spanish companies discussed cooperation in the supply of sports, small, low-tonnage vessels, yachts and boats in Russian market.
