Renat Mistakhov, Director General of Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation, has confirmed his participation in the Organising Committee of NEVA 2027.
Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation brings together industrial enterprises and organisations engaged in the design and construction of ships, vessels and boats for a wide range of purposes, as well as the manufacture of equipment, ship repair, electrical installation, training and service support. The Group’s companies are capable of undertaking major projects in mechanical engineering, metallurgy and large-scale steel structures.
At NEVA 2025, the Corporation presented Ecobalt, a new sightseeing vessel powered by hydrogen fuel cells. The vessel received approval from the Russian Classification Society at the end of 2025. Its commercial launch is now under consideration, with St. Petersburg’s waterways among the potential operating locations.
Why it matters for international participants: NEVA 2027 will provide a platform to explore developments in hydrogen-powered passenger vessels, alternative marine energy systems and low-emission water transport.
