Yakov Antonov, Director General of Atomflot, will take part in the Organising Committee of NEVA 2027.
Atomflot is part of Rosatom State Corporation and operates Russia’s unified icebreaking and nuclear technology complex for the civilian nuclear fleet.
Its fleet includes the nuclear-powered icebreakers Yamal and 50 Let Pobedy; the icebreakers Taymyr and Vaygach; four Project 22220 universal nuclear-powered icebreakers — Arktika, Sibir, Ural and Yakutia; and the nuclear-powered lighter container carrier Sevmorput.
The nuclear technology service fleet includes the floating technical bases Imandra and Lotta, the special tanker Serebryanka for liquid radioactive waste, and the multifunctional container vessel Rossita.
Arctic development is traditionally one of the priority themes of NEVA’s exhibition and business programme. Yakov Antonov’s participation in the Organising Committee will help ensure in-depth preparation of topics for professional discussion.
Why it matters for international participants: NEVA 2027 will provide a platform to discuss icebreaking operations, nuclear-powered fleet technologies, Arctic shipping infrastructure and the development of the Northern Sea Route.
