Ilya Shcherbakov, Director General of Petrobalt Design Bureau, has confirmed his participation in the Organising Committee of NEVA 2027.
He thanked Alexander Ulyanov, Director General of Nevainter LLC, for the confidence placed in the company and for recognising the experience Petrobalt gained through its participation in NEVA 2025. At the company’s stand, a series of presentations covered subjects ranging from container shipping development and membrane tank design to the digital transformation of shipbuilding and vessel cybersecurity. The company also presented a concept design for an LNG carrier.
Petrobalt Design Bureau focuses on the design of ships, floating structures and marine engineering products, including research and development activities. Its services include concept design, feasibility studies, optimisation of transport schemes for ship construction and the preparation of technical proposals.
Among the Bureau’s latest projects is the Azovskaya-4 hopper barge, designed to receive, transport and discharge dredged material at underwater disposal areas or spoil grounds. In late April 2026, a keel-laying ceremony was held at Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant. The vessel is being built for Rosmorport.
Why it matters for international participants: NEVA 2027 will offer opportunities to discuss ship design, LNG carrier concepts, digital shipbuilding, cybersecurity and dredging-fleet projects.
