On January 17, 2025, the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic of Iran signed a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement. This document opens up new opportunities for the development of bilateral relations, including in the maritime industry, which is a key area of cooperation between the two countries.
Russia and Iran possess unique opportunities for joint work in shipbuilding, modernization of port infrastructure, and the development of international transport corridors. Special attention is being given to the Caspian region, which plays an important role in both cargo transportation and the strengthening of economic ties.
As part of the new partnership, the countries plan to actively exchange technologies, develop joint projects for the construction of various types of vessels, and implement modern solutions to improve the efficiency of maritime transportation.
The participation of the "NEVA-International" team in the international maritime and port industry exhibition in Iran, held from February 4 to 7, 2025, on Kish Island, demonstrated that Iranian companies are interested in showcasing advanced technologies, discussing investment opportunities, and strengthening international cooperation.
The leadership of "NEVA-International," the organizer of Russia's largest maritime exhibition "NEVA," actively participated in this event. Alexander Ulyanov SEO of the Neva-International Ltd. delivered a report at a roundtable discussion on the topic "International North-South Transport Corridor: Transit Through Iran."
