Dear friends, especially for you, we have introduced the format of the weekly news digest of the NEVA 2021 exhibition and conference. We will keep you up to date with the most relevant events that occur during the preparation. 

Exhibition news 

Currently, more than 85% of the exhibition space is reserved. We have updated the tariff line and developed flexible solutions for different categories of participants. Booking of stands in Pavilion H for the Center of Small-Craft and Small-Tonnage Shipbuilding on special conditions is open. 

This year, the companies have significantly increased the exhibition area compared to previous exhibitions. The percentage of unique new exhibitors has increased. Seven national pavilions (Germany, Iceland, Finland, Turkey, Norway, Holland, and Korea) have already been confirmed, and five more national pavilions are awaiting approval.

Online conferences 

From November 2020 to May 2021, Neva-International Ltd, in cooperation with industry unions and associations and with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, holds a series of international maritime online conferences. The scope and content of this project is unprecedented. It is designed to bring together leading experts in shipbuilding around the world. 

As part of the project, an online conference "Opportunities for cooperation between Russia and Spain in small-craft shipbuilding and yachting" was held on January 25, 2021. The event was organized by the Russian Center for Small-craft and Small-Tonnage Shipbuilding and the National Association of Marine Companies of Spain (ANEN) with the support of the St. Petersburg Sailing Union. 

The business program included three thematic clusters: small-craft shipbuilding and yachting in Russia and Spain, current state of the industry; opportunities for cooperation between Spanish and Russian marine and charter companies; cooperation in the supply of sports, small-sized, low-tonnage vessels, yachts and boats. 

The participants of the conference shared their experience, discussed the legal aspects of yacht registration in Spain, the specifics of purchasing specialized products, and outlined further ways of international cooperation. Find the recording of the conference here

News from exhibitors 

In January, more than ten companies confirmed their participation in NEVA 2021. 

The Italian Classification Society RINA Services S. p. A. (RINA) was established in 1861 and is one of the seven founding members of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS). The organization conducts surveys of ships, including those registered in the Russian International Register of Ships, and issues convention certificates in accordance with international conventions. The RINA class consists of about 5 thousand vessels. 

Galician Association of the Metallurgical Industry and Related Organizations

Technologies (ASIME, Spain) unites more than 600 companies operating in such industries as metallurgy, shipbuilding, transport and logistics, etc. The association protects the corporate and individual interests of its members in the field of labor protection, environment, development of foreign trade, training, introduction of information technologies, etc. The organization promotes interregional and international cooperation, as well as products and services of Spanish companies on world markets at industry exhibitions. 

TRITMENT LLC has been operating in the ship supply market since 1992. The main activity is the supply of ship pipeline fittings, ship equipment, auxiliary mechanisms, electrical equipment and hardware for shipbuilding and ship repair plants. The company has established the production and supply of air pipe heads for completing water, fuel and oil tanks. Its partners include more than 100 companies. 

SPC ECHO+ LLC was founded in 1990 and today is one of the leading companies in the development and production of modern systems of ultrasonic non-destructive testing of the metal condition of pipelines and equipment, including nuclear power plant reactor installations. More than 40 control methods have been developed and certified for the use of the systems. Thanks to the accumulated experience, the company creates unique types of products that combine new information properties, high consumer qualities, reliability and ease of use. 

Armalit JSC with a hundred years of history, produces ship fittings for use in systems of pipelines with diameters from 10 to 750 mm and pressure up to 100 kg/cm2, to special order – up to 600 kg/cm2; general industrial pipeline valves for oil, gas, chemical and other industries; valves for the nuclear industry; AKSS rubber dampers of all types and sizes, forgings, castings from cast iron, steel and nonferrous metals. It also provides services in mechanical machining. 

Shipbuilding Corporation Ak Bars JSC unites 13 enterprises specializing in design, shipbuilding, component manufacturing, ship repair, electrical installation and service works. The main strategic goal of the company is to increase revenue from the current 38.5 billion rubles to 100 billion rubles by 2025.

Silur LLC produces a wide range of modern seals made of thermally expanded graphite (TEG) and other asbestos-free materials. Industrial seals and other sealing materials of the Silur brand belong to the category of technical products and in most cases are intended for use in severe operating conditions, including high pressures, temperatures and aggressive environments. The company performs large deliveries of standard products, the quality of which is comparable with the best foreign analogs. It also fulfils single exclusive orders. 

INTECHCOM JSC offers modernization of technological production lines based on modern DC and AC drives, high-performance controllers, convenient visualization tools; development of integrated solutions for industrial production and municipal facilities, manufacturers of machine-building, lifting and transport, woodworking and other equipment; introduction of energy-saving technologies; supply of electrical equipment. In addition, the company is an official partner of such global manufacturers of electrical components for industrial automation as Siemens AG, ABB and Schneider Electric. 

RIATOM LLC, founded in 1993, is engaged in the complex development, production and maintenance of automation systems for small power generation. In particular, it produces multifunctional controllers; warning protection systems, controls for stationary and marine diesel generators, as well as main marine engines; speed controllers for various engines; ignition systems for gas-piston engines and other specialized equipment. 

Forvard LLC has been working in the field of industrial equipment since 2006, having a reputation among consumers as a reliable and qualified supplier. The company successfully solves the problems of oil and gas processing enterprises, chemical industry, mechanical engineering, military-industrial complex. Thanks to close cooperation with the leading research and design and technical institutes of Russia, Forvard can ensure the development and implementation of a project of any scale and complexity. 

Tekhservis LLC, founded in 1993, offers maintenance, repair and supply of marine rescue equipment. The company cooperates with a number of Russian and foreign manufacturers and shipping companies. It issues original certificates of the international standard for the completed works. The head office is located in St. Petersburg, and production facilities are also located in Murmansk, Rostov-on-Don, Novorossiysk, Astrakhan, Sevastopol, Vladivostok, Nakhodka, Kaliningrad, Temryuk, Kholmsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Aktau. 

The Center for Industrial Development of the Leningrad Region was established by the Government of the Leningrad Region in order to promote competitiveness of industrial enterprises in the region and support their adaptation to the new technological order and changing environmental conditions. The autonomous non-profit organization promotes the development of cooperative ties in the region and the creation of industrial clusters, supports cluster initiatives and joint projects, advises on state support measures, promotes the introduction of products of industrial enterprises in the region to new foreign markets and creates conditions for sustainable growth of regional exports. 

The Microfinance Fund of the Orel Region provides microloans to small and medium-sized businesses for business development, including replenishment of working capital, capital investments and the purchase of fixed assets, repayment of loans in credit institutions. In 2020, more than 300 enterprises used the Fund's services. 

The Astrakhan Fund for Support of Small and Medium-sized Businesses issues preferential microloans to small and medium-sized businesses. Special attention is paid to working with social entrepreneurs and businesses interested in preserving jobs.
